How do I create a pin?
Steps to place a clickable pin on a product image in LinkSpot.
Overview
Pins are clickable hotspots you place on product gallery images. Each pin links to another product, letting customers discover related items directly from the image.
Prerequisites
Before creating a pin, make sure you have:
- The LinkSpot app embed block enabled in your theme
- A compatible theme (run the compatibility test if you haven't already)
- At least two products in your catalog (one to place the pin on, one to link to)
Steps
Go to Pins
In the LinkSpot sidebar, click Pins. You'll see a list of products in your store.
Select a Product
Choose the product whose image you want to add a pin to. The product's gallery images will load.
Place the Pin
Click on the product image at the position where you want the pin to appear. A pin marker will be placed at that location.
Link to a Product
Select the product you want the pin to link to. When a customer clicks the pin on your storefront, they'll see information about this linked product.
Choose a Style
Pick a pin style that matches your store's design. Options include Classic, Disk, Plus, Neon, and more. On Growth and Scale plans, all 12 styles are available.
Save
Click Save to publish the pin. It will appear on the product image on your storefront.
You can place multiple pins on a single product image. The maximum number of pins per image depends on your plan.
