Where to find Shopify's collaborator request code

How to find the 4-digit collaborator request code in your Shopify admin so LinkSpot support can request access to your store.

If you reach out to LinkSpot support to debug a storefront-specific issue, the team may request collaborator access to your Shopify store so they can see the same theme, settings, and behavior you are seeing. Shopify requires a collaborator request code for that access request to come through.

This article shows where to find your store's code.

Where to find it

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Settings.
  2. Click Users and permissions.
  3. Scroll to the Collaborators section.
  4. Your store's 4-digit collaborator request code is shown there. Copy it.

What to do with it

Send the code along with your support request. The easiest way is to paste it into the Collaborator request code field on the LinkSpot Contact page. See How to contact support.

LinkSpot support uses the code to send a collaborator access request from their partner account. You will receive a request notification in your Shopify admin and can approve or decline it from there. Approving the request gives the LinkSpot team scoped access to your store; you can revoke it at any time from the same Users and permissions page.

You do not have to share it

Sharing the code is optional. If you prefer not to grant collaborator access, you can still get help by sending detailed screenshots or screen recordings instead. Collaborator access is requested only when the issue cannot be reproduced from the information you provide.
