Elements are not showing on the storefront

A checklist for why a LinkSpot element you saved is not appearing on your storefront, and how to resolve each cause.

If you saved an element in the LinkSpot admin but it is not appearing on your storefront, work through the checks below in order. Most cases come down to the app embed, targeting, or the storefront simply needing a moment to catch up with a fresh save.

1. Is the app embed enabled for the current theme?

LinkSpot renders elements through the app embed. If the embed is off, nothing LinkSpot saves will appear.

  • Open the LinkSpot dashboard. If the setup guide shows Step 1 as not complete, enable the App Embed there.
  • Or open Settings > Compatibility > Theme integration, pick the current theme, and confirm the App embed status is on.

2. Did the compatibility test pass for the current theme?

LinkSpot needs to know where the product gallery sits on your product page. If the compatibility test never ran or did not find a selector, elements have nothing to attach to.

  • Open Settings > Compatibility > Theme integration, pick the current theme, and run the compatibility test.
  • If automatic detection fails, paste a CSS selector for your gallery into the manual field.

3. Are you on the same theme that was set up?

The setup is per-theme. If you switched themes (for example, published a new theme), the new theme starts from scratch.

  • Confirm the published theme matches the one configured in Settings > Compatibility > Theme integration.
  • If you have switched themes, re-run the setup for the new theme.

4. Does the element target the product you are viewing?

A shop-wide element (badge, button, product set, collage) only appears on the products its targeting matches.

  • Open the element in the LinkSpot admin and check the Placement tab.
  • If using Specific products, the product you are viewing must be in the list.
  • If using All products with collection or tag filters, the product must satisfy them.
  • If using Specific product image, the image you are viewing must be the configured one.

5. Are you looking at the right image?

Most LinkSpot elements attach to specific images (the 1st, a specific image position, a particular image you clicked).

  • Confirm the image you are viewing on the storefront matches the image you placed the element on, or that the element is configured to show on All images.
  • Markers (pins, annotations, captions) are tied to one specific image.

6. Is the element enabled?

Confirm the element is not disabled or hidden. Disabled elements never render on the storefront, even if everything else is configured correctly.

7. Is the schedule window open?

Badges support scheduling. If the current time is outside the configured window, the badge is hidden.

  • Open the badge and check the Schedule card in the Advanced tab.
  • If the start date is in the future, or the end date is in the past, the badge will not show.

8. Do the visibility conditions evaluate to true?

Badges support conditional display (cart total, customer tags, metafields, and more). If no condition group is satisfied, the badge is hidden.

  • Open the badge and review the Visibility conditions card.
  • Test on a state that satisfies the conditions (for example, add an item to the cart if the condition checks cart total).

9. Are you over your plan quota?

Elements that exceed your plan's limit are flagged as over-quota and may not render on the storefront.

  • Open the element listing page. Look for an over-quota warning.
  • Either delete excess elements or upgrade your plan.

10. For badges on product cards: is the Product cards setup done?

Badges only appear on collection pages, search results, and other listings if you have configured Settings > Compatibility > Product cards and picked a display method.

11. For elements placed via an app block: is the block actually in the theme?

If you placed an element through an app block (Pin, Annotation, Product Badge, Collage, Product Set), the block must be added to a theme section through the theme editor. The element will not appear automatically just because you saved it in LinkSpot.

  • Open the theme editor and verify the app block is present in the right template.

12. Has the change synced to the storefront yet?

LinkSpot syncs saved elements to your storefront in the background. If you just saved, the change may not be live yet. See Changes are not syncing to the storefront for what to expect.

If none of these resolve the issue, send the details to LinkSpot support. See How to contact support.
