Pin elements to the sidebar menu

Add element types (Pins, Badges, Buttons, and others) as direct shortcuts under Elements in the LinkSpot sidebar, so you can jump straight to a specific element type.

By default, the LinkSpot sidebar in the Shopify admin shows: LinkSpot (home), Elements, Settings, Pricing, and Contact us. Clicking Elements opens the landing page where you pick which element type to work on.

If you find yourself going to the same element type often (always Badges, always Pins), you can pin it as a shortcut under Elements in the sidebar so you can jump straight to it.

Configure the shortcuts

  1. In the LinkSpot admin, open Settings > General.

  2. Scroll to the App settings card.

  3. Find the Menu shortcuts field.

  4. Click into the field and pick the elements you want as shortcuts (Annotations, Badges, Buttons, Captions, Collages, Pins, Product sets).

  5. The selected elements appear as tags below the field. You can remove a tag to drop a shortcut.

There is no Save button on this field; your changes apply immediately. The Shopify admin sidebar refreshes to reflect the new shortcuts.

What the result looks like

The chosen element types appear as indented links right under the Elements item in the sidebar, each prefixed with a small dot. For example, with Badges and Pins pinned, the sidebar shows:

LinkSpot
Elements
  · Badges
  · Pins
Settings
Pricing
Contact us

Clicking a shortcut takes you straight to that element type's listing page.

You can also quick pin the element you want, clicking on the Star icon in the cards inside Elements page.

Tips

  • Pin only the element types you use most often. A long list of shortcuts adds noise to the sidebar.

  • Shortcuts always appear in alphabetical order, regardless of the order you pick them in.

  • This is a LinkSpot feature, separate from Shopify's own "pin app" feature. You can also pin the LinkSpot app to your main Shopify admin sidebar from the apps list. Both work together: pinning LinkSpot puts it in the main sidebar; configuring menu shortcuts adds element-type shortcuts inside the LinkSpot menu.
