Setup

The Theme integration page in LinkSpot's settings walks through the same setup as the dashboard setup guide, but lets you pick which theme to configure.

You can find it in the LinkSpot admin under Settings > Compatibility > Theme integration.

Pick a theme

The page opens on your currently active theme by default. To configure a different theme, use the theme picker at the top of the page and select the theme you want to set up.

LinkSpot lists every theme on your store that the app has access to, including unpublished and draft themes. Each theme is configured independently, so the steps you complete here only apply to the theme you have selected.

Step 1: App embed

LinkSpot's storefront code is bundled in an app embed that Shopify adds to your theme on install. The embed is off by default for any new theme. This step turns it on for the selected theme.

What you do:

1. Use the button that opens the theme editor with LinkSpot pre-selected for the chosen theme.
2. Toggle the LinkSpot App Embed on.
3. Click Save in the theme editor.
4. Return to the LinkSpot settings page. The status updates once the embed is detected as enabled.

Step 2: Product image gallery

Once the app embed is enabled for the selected theme, the Product image gallery step becomes available. This is the same compatibility test as the dashboard setup guide: LinkSpot detects where the product gallery sits on the product page and saves the CSS selector for that theme.

What you do:

1. Run the compatibility test from the panel. LinkSpot runs in the background to detect the gallery selector automatically.
2. If LinkSpot finds the gallery, the test marks it as ready.
3. If it does not, paste a CSS selector for your gallery into the manual selector field. The selector is saved as soon as you confirm it.

If the app embed is not yet enabled for the selected theme, the compatibility test is hidden behind a banner that tells you to enable the embed first.

When to use this page

The Theme integration page covers the same ground as the dashboard's setup guide, with the addition of a theme picker. Use it when:

• You added a new theme to your store and want to configure it.
• You changed your active theme and want LinkSpot to render on the new one.
• You want to configure or test a draft theme before publishing it.
• You want to verify the current setup or re-run the compatibility test for any theme.

If you only have one theme and you have already completed the setup guide from the dashboard, you do not need to revisit this page.
